Web Page

Hey, there everyone!

I went to London and Amsterdam to massage
and do Chinese Energetic Medicine
(healings without touching the person)
on various people including the rock band
Nashville Pussy.

As usual, it was a ball hanging out with them
and having spent my 33rd birthday on July 5th
with them was wilder than I had ever imagined.
The best part had to be the intelligent
conversations with each of them!!!

Rock and Roll is not as dumb as you think:)

           Tracy-bass          Blaine-guitar/vocals              Ruyter-lead guitar      Jeremy-drums

They played their London show on the 4th of July
and everyone wore some red, white and blue.
The Americans in the home land for our
Independence from the English.CRAZY!!!
It was a fantastic show.
The songs were way tight and the cover of the
Turbonegro song was one of the best!
The sound man Jean Luc panned the guitar solo
from left to right and it WAS AWESOME!
There was real slam dancing and
some guy with dreads thought he'd jump on the stage but
then was verbally busted by Blaine and he did not return...

Chinatown, London

I also got to have a great lunch in London with
Richard White, an actor from Australia
who has been on my favourite show Farscape
(and I worked on him too-he couldn't turn his neck
and during lunch I did CEM on him and he said
"Did you just do something to me?
I can finally move my neck! That was so cool!)
(He was in the episode called "Bug's Life")
Missy and Richard

I stayed with my great friends Lenny and Jean
while I was in London.
They have a flat in Chelsea.
Lenny even drove me
all the way to Nottingham(2 1/2 hrs away)
so I could be with the band.

Then he drove all the way back to get to
his soccer match which he won 3-2.

Lenny and Jean on the Tube

I took the tour bus back to London
which was an experience in it self.

I kept sitting up in my bunk and nailing my head!

There was a three person documentary crew following the band through the U.K. By the third day, they got to be pretty annoying especially with the boom mike...
They even filmed me working on the band.
They said it was for Channel 4 BBC in England.
Hopefully they will show the band in the best possible light.

Tower Of London

I stayed in London 8 days and had a blast.
Did alot of shopping(Lush and Doc Martens)
and drank expensive champagne
with Jean at Harvey Nichols just like in  Absolutely Fabulous.
I also went to a soccer match that
featured the masters of 6 teams
including Chelsea. The fans were wild with their singing
and even the players were fighting with each other
(it was supposed to be a friendly match...)

First of the 4 pubs that night-Winkel, Lethal, Lenny, Tall Mick and Joe

Well, on to Amsterdam for three mad days.

I slept a total of 8 hours there.

This picture is outside the Melkweg
(where the band performed)
and that is the bus in the background,
parked extra close to the canal.
Ruyter(the lead guitarist) said it was VERY scary parking
the bus because they had to back up
down the street and NOT fall into the canal.
She knew all of the statistics on
how many people die in the canal and
how many bikes fall into the canal each year.(40,000)
Lots of bikes in Amsterdam.
My cab driver I had one day hit a bicyclist...
He was ok but dented the back of the cab.
All the cabs were Mercedes and all the cab drivers wore nice suits!
On my first day there I worked quite a bit
and then that night I went to the
Red Light District with Blaine and Ruyter.
It was wild but did not seem any crazier than New Orleans.
Met up with the rest of the band and crew at a bar later.

Pat(guitar tech), Ruyter, and Jeremy in the
Harley Bar in the Red Light District.

Blaine-pinball wizard

Went back to my hotel and slept.
Got up early to have the free breakfast
that consisted of hard-boiled eggs,yogurt,
granola, lots of bread, fresh OJ,
jellies, and ham & cheese.
Then went back to bed, glad I did because it
would be the only sleep I got there.
Woke up at noon and went to the Rijks Museum.

Pretty cool place.
The giant Rembrants (Nightwatch) were really cool.
I guess it was even bigger but they cut it down for
some reason. There were great collections of pottery
and cool furniture. Lots of Dutch paintings including
Vermeer,Geertgen, and a special exhibit called
Two Golden Ages.
I met some nice people in the museum and
it was an eye opening experience :)
Walked out of the museum to take some pictures
and I saw the tour bus go by...Crazy!
And they saw me too
(the band went to the museum also-as I left, they arrived)
I went to have a traditional Dutch pancake and take in
some great views of the canals.

Then on to the Melkweg!
Sound check was fantastic and I knew it'd be a
good show by how it sounded.
George Clinton's (Parliament and P-Funk) manager(?)
was at sound check and said George and
the band might come to the show.
Excitement was everywhere!
Did some massages and then hung out with the band
while they did crossword puzzles (those girls are SMART)
Snuck back to the hotel and took a quick shower
and changed into a nice suit to
meet George, if he was to show up...
Showtime!

It really a fantastic show.
They dedicated the song "Say Something Nasty" to
George in case he was there and by the end of the song
he was in the front row...
The band was all smiles!!! Blaine high-fived him
at the end of the song.
The only bad thing about the show were these
Croatian guys who kept climbing on the stage
and one guy was pulling his pants down.
(Before the show, we saw the police make them
move their car and 10 minutes later it was back again.
They were drunk by 4 and the show didn't start till 10)
Anyway, after the show we went back stage to
find the Funk God ,George Clinton and his band!
(and the Holland Hell’s Angels)

His band members were really, really nice.
I took some pics of NP and them.

George had his wife there and they left after an hour or so.
Then we all went to a couple of bars and got wild with the P-Funk!

Kathrin and Tracy at the Cave-the first of many bars that night
Ruyter and Jeremy walked me back to my hotel around 8 am
and an hour later I was in the airport getting on my plane!
Hotel Europa 92

Wow was that an experience in Schiphol airport...
There were long lines for everything.
First a security clearance, then x-ray,
then a security guy asked ?'s,
then you finally got to get in line to check your bags,
then in a another line to get into the gate,
more ?'s and then another line to get on the plane...
I was in lines for 2 hrs. Glad I got there early.
Anyway, I wouldn't change any of it for the world.
I had one of the best times of my life and I formed some lasting friendships along the way!
It was more of an educational experience then I ever imagined!
Thanks to everyone I was with especially Lenny and Jean
AND
the band and their crew!
